Privacy at CreateCV

A resume contains sensitive career and contact information. This policy explains what stays in your browser and what leaves your device when you choose an online feature.

Memory-only resume sessions

Your active resume and editing data stay only in the current page’s memory during ordinary editing. They are not saved to local storage, session storage, IndexedDB, cookies, or the browser Cache API. Refreshing, reopening, revisiting, or restoring the builder from back/forward cache starts an empty resume session. CreateCV removes resume-storage keys left by earlier versions. Language, theme, and completed-onboarding preferences may remain in local storage because they do not contain resume content.

AI features

When you intentionally use AI review, writing, onboarding suggestions, or job matching, the resume fields and instructions needed for that feature are sent to the configured AI provider. CreateCV is designed to minimize unnecessary contact information, but you should review the content before submitting it and avoid information you do not want that provider to process. The provider’s own terms and retention practices may also apply.

Share links

A share link contains a versioned, encoded copy of the resume fields you entered. Encoding is not encryption. Anyone who receives the link can read the resume, and the URL may remain in browser history, messages, screenshots, or infrastructure logs. Links in this version cannot be revoked, so share them only with trusted recipients.

Third-party resources and technical logs

The builder does not load advertising networks or third-party analytics. It currently requests interface fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive ordinary connection information such as your IP address and browser details. Hosting and security logs may record technical request information needed to operate and protect the service.

Your controls

You can destroy the active in-memory session with Clear all. Refreshing or closing the page also discards ordinary editing data. Browser autofill is controlled by your browser, so stored contact details may still be offered by it. Clearing this device does not delete copies already sent to an AI provider or people who received a share link.

Backups and changes

CreateCV does not keep an automatic resume backup. Keep your own exported copy of important content before refreshing or closing the page. If this privacy notice changes materially, its updated date will change.
